Talrik ("the App") is developed by Joey Gibson. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information.

Summary

Talrik does not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to us. The App communicates directly with the social media platforms you choose to connect (Bluesky and Mastodon). We do not operate any servers and have no access to your data.

Information the App Stores on Your Device

The following information is stored locally on your device and never leaves it:

  • Account credentials (OAuth tokens and app passwords) stored in your device's secure Keychain
  • Account metadata (usernames, platform type, display names) stored in the app's local database
  • Draft posts stored in the app's local database
  • Post history (text of posts you've published and which platforms they were sent to)

Information Shared with Third Parties

When you use Talrik to post content or authenticate, the App communicates directly with the following platforms:

  • Bluesky (bsky.social and AT Protocol servers)
  • Mastodon (the instance you connect to)

The App sends only the data required to authenticate and publish your posts (your credentials, post text, and any images you attach). This communication happens directly between your device and the platform — there is no intermediary server.

Each platform has its own privacy policy that governs how they handle your data:

Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect analytics or usage data
  • We do not use tracking or advertising SDKs
  • We do not collect crash reports (unless you opt in via Apple's standard crash reporting)
  • We do not collect your location
  • We do not access your contacts
  • We do not use cookies

Photo Library Access

Talrik requests access to your photo library solely to let you select images to attach to your social media posts. Selected images are processed on your device (resized and compressed) and sent directly to the platforms you are posting to. We do not store, collect, or have access to your photos.

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the App removes all stored data, including saved credentials and post history.

If you remove a connected account within the App, its credentials are deleted from your Keychain immediately.

Children's Privacy

Talrik is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
